Caricature between birth and evolution

Abstract

Caricature drawing is one of the finest and most difficult plastic arts, after the school (Al-Sahel Al-Mutta’an) entrusted it with the task of provoking controversy by communicating the idea and the event in a simplified manner. And the graphic treatment to stimulate the reader’s imagination and involve him in the work, and the beginning of the caricature can be traced back to the beginning of man’s knowledge of art, drawings and inscriptions that were found inside the caves of the first man, which we can call the beginning of the caricature, because this art requires three elements: image, exaggeration, and ironic effect, and there are some Drawings inside the caves bearing the three elements before the emergence of different civilizations. The art of caricature has developed through the various civilizations that have passed through the world until it reached advanced stages and its importance increased significantly, reaching the point of influencing the fate of a country and contributing to raising awareness and educating society about its problems and solutions. This research attempted to monitor the emergence and development of this art through the ages and times, especially in Egypt. and the Arab world
