Optical illusion is one of the modern artistic trends and methods that depend on the study of visual influences and variables. These elements and components rely on the sensory and visual perception of human beings, where innovative design aspects and interior designs are formed with creative design and aesthetic treatments, whether through the design process or formation in the interior space determinants. The methods and tools that have allowed us to define the perceptual process and interpret vision through traditional forms, transforming them through optical illusion into what are defined as impossible forms; represent advancement in visual perception methods and visual indicators. It relies on the designer's ability to understand and analyze shapes geometrically and visually as they perform a set of techniques that focus on integrating the idea with the design, understanding the theories of illusion, design principles, and plastic treatments, and applying them through systematic and structured steps to reach innovative design solutions. Creating innovative interior spaces and solving a range of design issues and interior space solutions that improve efficiency and achieve a creative vision in design involves integrating optical illusion with the main elements of design such as light, color, shapes, sizes, and depth, as well as using different textures and the nature of textures. The use of different textures, the nature of different surfaces, and the degree of brightness of each of them give multiple visual impressions and effects. With the development of digital and virtual technologies, designers can achieve optical illusion and create various forms by analyzing the geometric characteristics of shapes and visual contrast, and achieving color compatibility in the design. The interior architecture designer extracts the functional relationships within the space and can apply them, using these virtual digital technologies to emphasize form and function through methods and treatments of the interior space using optical illusion.
